Admission for studying at BUAP

International students may be admitted as:

Exchange students: Temporary students who are registered in a degree program at one of our partner institutions and apply for a course of studies at our university for one or two academic periods (one semester to one year). Calls for mobility exchange programs are issued by the Office of International Relations and post particular requirements and deadlines for admission.

Degree students: Students who are admitted to and enroll in one of our degree-granting programs. Students applying for a degree program must check the particular requirements for admission of the program they are interested in.
At the moment, most of the academic courses are conducted solely in Spanish and students who don’t have Spanish as their native language must show evidence of intermediate language proficiency in Spanish, minimally equivalent to CEFR B1 (Threshold or intermediate). The University is currently developing a Spanish-as-a-Foreign-Language program for students whose goal is to learn Spanish or strengthen their proficiency in this language. Currently offered are Spanish for Beginners and Spanish Language and Culture courses at the Language School (Facultad de Lenguas).
